“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
— Aaron Siskind
Who am I?
My name is Chris Williams, and I live in Belgium with my wife and our two dogs, our beloved fur babies. By day, I am a dedicated teacher, but outside the classroom, I am passionate about photography. I have been capturing important moments for others for over 15 years, traveling the world and exploring various styles and subjects. This journey keeps me on my toes, constantly pushing me to grow my photography skills. I love experimenting with new ideas and locations, believing that staying in one place for too long leads to repetitive and uninspired views.
My journey into photography began long ago, driven by a fascination with the technical aspects of pushing the boundaries of what a camera could do. It amazed me how a simple click could capture a moment, and even more so, how tweaking the camera settings could create stunning images. After a few years of shooting purely for myself, I discovered the profound impact of capturing photos that hold deep meaning for others. Freezing a fleeting moment in time, preserving it to be cherished and displayed, was truly eye-opening.
As a teacher with countless hobbies, I draw inspiration from many sources, but most importantly from my family—my two goofy dogs and my amazing wife. I'm always on the lookout for new styles and different approaches. While I appreciate the creations of others, I strive to put my own spin on things to highlight what matters most to me.
